This book reminds me of the old Starlog special issues (of which I own many). And I mean that as a compliment. Except the photos in this book are far better (due to modern technology). It's a large format book, and glossy throughout.
The books starts out with brief history of older movies from the early 1900s, but quickly moves into all the favorites we know. Star Trek, Star Wars, Gerry Anderson's series, Aliens, Battlestar Galactica, Babylon 5, and many others. No book can cover everything or every scifi movie and TV show ever made, but it does touch on the ones that were breakthroughs in how scifi was shown, and of course, the book is stocked full of color images of various space ships and gear.
As a scifi fan, and model builder, I am glad I added this to my collection of reference. There are some images in here I have never seen before. You can't beat the price for what you get, it's worth every penny.
